Resilient Homestead and Livelihood Support to the Vulnerable Coastal People of Bangladesh

Overview:

The GCF-RHL project, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and implemented by PKSF, aims to support vulnerable coastal communities in Bangladesh to adapt to the adverse effects of climate change. Throughout a period of 03 years from 2025 to 2028, the project will directly benefit 3,500 households in Chakaria Upazila of Cox’s Bazar District, across ten unions including Kakhara, Surajpur-Manikpur, Kaiarbil, Lakhyarchar, Bheola Manikchar, Bamo Bilchari, Chiringa, Dulahazara, Fashiakhali, and Harbang.

Goal:

To develop climate-adaptive coastal communities in Bangladesh through the adoption of climate-resilient housing and livelihood technologies and enhance the capacity of communities and organizations on addressing climate change impacts in their localities.
