The Integrated Development Foundation (IDF), in collaboration with Prottasha Foundation, is pleased to invite Expressions of Interest (EOI) from internationally recognised carbon market organisations, climate finance institutions, carbon credit developers, investors, technical partners, and research organisations to explore collaboration on two proposed large-scale Nature-based Carbon Initiatives in Bangladesh.
These initiatives are being developed under the regulatory oversight of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Bangladesh Forest Department.
Together, these initiatives represent an integrated 70,000-hectare Forest Carbon & Blue Carbon Program aimed at supporting Bangladesh’s National REDD+ Strategy, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), National Adaptation Plan (NAP), Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while mobilising international climate finance and promoting sustainable community development.
The concept notes for these initiatives have been submitted to the Government of Bangladesh and are currently under technical consideration by the Bangladesh Forest Department
IDF welcomes discussions with organisations interested in:
International organisations with demonstrated expertise in voluntary carbon markets, climate finance, nature-based solutions, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable forest management are invited to submit a non-binding Expression of Interest (EOI) to explore potential collaboration with IDF.
The EOI will serve as an indication of preliminary interest in supporting the development of these proposed initiatives and will facilitate further dialogue among IDF, prospective partners, and the Government of Bangladesh. Submission of an EOI does not create any legal or financial obligation on either party.
