Education Program

Education Program

IDF started its Education Program with assistance of Sida in 1994 to provide basic education to poor children and raise awareness of their parents about children’s rights and education, focusing on providing basic education and preventing dropouts. The Key components of the program include Counselling, Non-formal Education, Scholarship Program and Sports and Culture.
Under the scholarship program, it provides financial aid to students from economically challenged families (especially IDF members’ children) offering monthly scholarships and book allowances from primary through university levels. IDF runs a school in Satkania, Chittagong, with a plan to expand it to a college and a higher technical institute. IDF also runs Afternoon Learning Centers. These centers offer additional support to poor primary school students to prevent school dropouts and improve academic performance
