“Decent Employment, Health and Nutrition to All” project, launched by IDF on July, 2024, aims to improve nutrition, health, and economic opportunities across five Upazilas in Khagrachari district: Panchari, Guimara, Dighinala, Laxmichari, and Mohalchari. This project closely aligns with IDF’s previous LEAN project objectives but introduces a distinct implementation strategy that engages multiple community groups, such as Producers Groups, Advance Farmers, Women Business Centers (WBCs), Adolescent Clubs, and Telehealth initiatives. IDF’s goal is to strengthen micro-credit programs, boost nutritious food production and storage, guide Advanced Farmers in quality crop production, and mobilize WBCs and adolescents for community outreach on health and nutrition. Additionally, the project will collaborate with local Nutrition Committees and a Multi-Stakeholder Platform (MSP) to support activities in partnership with the Health, Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries departments.
The project’s activities include providing technical support to Advance Farmers, engaging youth in health and community programs, and setting up collection points for quality food production and marketing. By aligning local expertise and resources, the project aims to build a sustainable framework for nutrition and health, enhancing employment and income opportunities within the community.
Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating poverty in the remote, hilly, and underserved regions of Bangladesh.
