Under the PKSF-funded project “Innovative Agricultural Initiatives” IDF launched the project titled “Wild Cow or Goyal Breed Conservation, Development, and Poverty Alleviation through Farm-Level Rearing” on March 1, 2020, at Salimpur (Rubber Garden on the east side of Faujdarhat Cadet College) in Sitakunda, Chittagong.
The Goyal Farm began operations at Matiranga Agricultural Farm on March 1, 2021. The expansion of the Goyal breed is actively progressing at both the IDF Goyal Farm and the IDF Matiranga Agricultural Training Centre. The Matiranga farm has a mix of cows, including a bull, cows, calves, and kids, while the Sitakunda farm also houses a number of cows, including bull.
