Elderly Care (Probin)
IDF launched its Elderly Care (Probin) project in June 2012, with support from PKSF, across 7 unions in Chattogram, Kaptai, and Bandarban. The project aims to provide health services, monthly allowances, and essential items like walking sticks, umbrellas, quilts, wheelchairs, and commodes to senior citizens. The program engages a significant number of members, with nearly equal participation from men and women across numerous villages.
Health services are extended to senior citizens, ensuring access to essential care. In addition to healthcare support, elderly individuals receive allowances to assist with their financial needs. The program also provides burial expenses to families of deceased members, demonstrating a commitment to supporting the elderly and their families during challenging times.
