Mst. Asma Akhter

Asma Akhter was admitted as a member of the 2nd Center of the IDF Manohardi Branch in 2014. Her Group No. is 04 and Loanee ID is. 688. She took a loan of 30 thousand, 10 thousand, 30 thousand and 50 thousand taka respectively in 4 installments. She invested the loan money in their furniture business and started seeing profits. She made a profit of 25 thousand taka on the first investment and added the dividend to the business capital. In the 2nd step, she gained 5000 taka and added it back to the dividend capital. After that, when the scope of her business increased, she hired 3 workers in the shop and paid them 500 taka per day. In the 3rd step, the member takes a loan of 30,000 taka and earns 20,000 taka.
At this time, Asma and her husband plan to add a new “Saw” mill to their business. Then the members took a loan of 50,000 taka from IDF in the 4th round and with the profit money they saved, opened a “Saw” mill in Manohardi and hired 2 workers. Where her business was on the verge of closure due to lack of capital, her husband and 5 workers are now running a furniture business and saw mill in Mahohardi.

At present, Asma is the owner of 7 shotok of land. Out of this, they have 5 semi-brick built houses on 03 shotok land and cultivate paddy on the remaining 04 shotok land. Apart from that, she kept 2 cows and some chickens. She bought a television and a fridge with the money saved. She also has a savings account of Tk 6,900 as an IDF savings account and a DPS challan of Tk 1,000 for 5 years in a private bank. Asma Akhter thanked IDF for this success.
