Microcredit Program

Small Capital is Power to the Poor.
IDF started its operation in 1993 through piloting the Grameen Microfinance Model in Chattogram Hill Tracts and customized the model as per local situation and needs of the local population.

Accessible, Affordable and Quality Healthcare Services for All.
Health Program is the flagship program of IDF. Since 1995, we have run a healthcare program to support poor communities, offering services through static and satellite clinics, telehealth, and health camps.

Quality and Functional Education for All
IDF started its Education Program with assistance of Sida in 1994 to provide basic education to poor children and raise awareness of their parents about children's rights and education, focusing on providing basic education and preventing dropouts.

Improving Rural Lives with Green Power
IDF launched Solar Power Program in 2003 in partnership with IDCOL (a government company for infrastructure and solar power) to provide electricity to rural and remote areas which does not have access to the national grid.

Access to safe Water and Sanitation for All
IDF initially launched its water and sanitation program with Sida's assistance in 1995. Later on, the program is funded by PKSF (Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation), water.org, and IDF’s internal funding.

Safe Foods for all
Since 1996, IDF has been implementing integrated agriculture projects initially supported by Sida and HKI. A dedicated Agriculture Unit was later established to continue these initiatives. PKSF has been providing technical and financial assistance since 2014.

Enriching Food Protein and Nutrition.
IDF’s livestock work includes deworming, first aid, cattle fattening, and goat rearing. Its fisheries activities, started in 1993 in Chittagong, focus on fish production, training, and supplying local hatcheries with mother fish to boost output.

Sustainable Healthy Life and Livelihood.
IDF's clients’ protection program was launched in 1997 which offers protection against health diseases, death, project damages, and livestock deaths. Members, spouses, and children under 18 receive free medical treatment with medicines and reimbursement for severe illness requiring hospitalization.

Rohingya Refugee

In response to the Rohingya humanitarian crisis, the Integrated Development Foundation (IDF), in collaboration with Humanity Beyond Barriers (HBB) and The University of Texas at Austin, has stepped forward to empower refugees in Cox’s Bazar with vital healthcare knowledge and access. Through compassionate efforts, the initiative delivered in-person training and instructional videos, equipping the community with tools to address health challenges and adopt preventative practices.

IDF’s surveys revealed transformative results, with refugees demonstrating significant improvements in health awareness and hygiene behaviors. This initiative stands as a testament to the power of education and collective action, fostering resilience and hope in one of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
