Safe Fish Project
The RMTP-Safe Fish Project, launched in January 2023 by IDF with PKSF support, operates in Raozan, Boalkhali, Fatikchhari, and Hathazari Upazilas of Chattogram. The project aims to boost the income of 5,000 poor and small-scale fish farmers through value chain initiatives, improving food security and family nutrition.
Key activities include training in good fisheries practices and developing markets for ready-to-cook fish products. The project expects to increase fish production by 34%, boost sales by 30%, and raise profits by 20% among participating entrepreneurs.
