Job Title: Program Organizer

Job Context:

Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) is a non-profit, non-political development organization established in December 1992. Mission of IDF is to combat poverty in the impassable hilly regions and other un-served areas of Bangladesh by providing poor citizens with financial and opportunities such as capital, inputs, appropriate safety-nets and services to ensure their socio-economic upliftment. IDF invites application from the potential candidates for the following position under agriculture, fisheries and livestock unit at Chattogram and Rajshahi division.

Job Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Program Organizer (Livestock) are as follows:

  • Identify the farmer’s problem related to livestock production and initiate to solve those problem;
  • Disseminate improved livestock management practices/technologies to the farmer fields;
  • Provide technical guidance to Field Facilitators/Farmers on small/medium livestock farm management;
  • Provide training to Field Facilitators/ target farmers, and project participants;
  • Prepare training manual, training schedule, and training budget;
  • Organize exposure visit, workshop and seminar;
  • Develop enterprises of goat, dairy and beef fattening or other livestock venture;
  • Organize animal health campaign & ensure schedule vaccination and anthelmintic;
  • Coordination or liaison with Upazila level stakeholders particularly DLS, DAE, DoF Office and Union Porishad;
  • Develop progress reports and case studies.

Educational Requirements:

Minimum BSC in Animal Husbandry or DVM from any recognized University. M.S. from Dairy/Poultry science will get preference.

Experience Requirements:

At least 2 years diversified experience on related projects. Able to show experience of working with National /International NGO projects and experience of working in the Chittagong Hill Tracts will get preference.

 Additional Requirements:

  • Age at most 35 years
  • Minimum two years’ experience under livelihood/food security project.
  • Professional and clear written and oral communication skills both in English & Bangla.
  • Good command on MS-Office (MS word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
  • Excellent networking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Analytical and Report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience to drive motorbike.
  • Willingness to travel to, and work in, remote areas for extended periods of time

Job Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Executive (Accounts) are as follows:

  • To prepare & maintain vouchers for all transactions with proper supporting and good filing system.
  • To Prepare all kinds of vouchers such as – Cash Disbursement Voucher, Journal Voucher, Cash Receipt Voucher etc.
  • Maintain all accounts related books and documents
  • Responsible for overall Inventory management and monitoring Projects overhead expenses.

  • Analyze and evaluate of loan proposals as per IDF’s lending guidelines, policies and regulations with expertise and essential documents with due diligence.
  • Following the specific rules in the branch area of organization, communicate with the local public and target group and evaluating credit worthiness of prospective clients
  • Provide training of the group members and verifying the membership form
  • Ensure that collections from the member are deposited at the branch office properly and timely manner.
  • Presiding at the meetings of the colleagues in branch and reviewing the loan application received by the loan officers from the center and arrange for drafting loan proposals.
  • Recommended proposals are forwarded to the area / zone / head office for necessary approval.
  • To arrange the withdrawal of money from the servicing bank for the disbursement of loan and to re-deposit the money to the bank if applicable.
  • Ensure validation of entries, collection sheets, vouchers and ledgers along with approved loan proposal at the time of loan disbursement.
  • Take necessary steps to collect daily arrears.
  • Check the collection sheet information along with the vouchers prepared from the center while depositing money at the office.
  • Ensure weekly / monthly basis loan, savings and balance of various funds.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports of the branch within the stipulated time and send it to the head office.
  • To take appropriate measures through the implementation, control and monitoring of the budget and plan of the branch.
  • Prospective client visits and risk assessment of prospective customers
  • Preparation and review of credit appraisal reports and approval of loan facilities
  • Timely & effectively follow up & monitoring of loans to avoid overdue.
  • To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the Authority as and when necessary.

Educational Requirements:

Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 2 years working experience in the relevant field. Able to show experience of working with National / International NGO and experience of working in the Chittagong Hill Tracts will get preference.
