Job Context:

IDF works for the poor and disadvantaged people of remote, difficult, hilly and unserved areas of Bangladesh. IDF focuses on unserved poverty-stricken areas to ensure that every citizen of Bangladesh is provided with financial services and opportunities. IDF designs financial and social products to bring a sustainable development in the life of poor people. The financial products are credit for income-generating activities and short/long term savings. Other products provided by our organization are micro insurance for life, health related programs, income-generating activities, disaster management support, technology transfer, value chains development, solar home system for power, solar mini-grid, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Field Organizer are as follows:

  • Ensure the Management of kendro/somiti’s member admission and cancellation including Loan Scheme, Loan Proposal, Savings Deposit and Return, Information on Micro Credit and Member Welfare Fund. Arrangement of Seating of Members in kendro/somiti, Receipt of Signatures of Members in Resolution Book, Verification of Members’ Attendance Will record in the resolution book.
  • Following the specific rules in the branch area of organization, communicate with the local public and target group and evaluating credit worthiness of prospective clients
  • Fill in the loan application form through resolution at the somiti level and cross check whether the information is correct. Collection of loan proposals by accepting the signatures of the members, guardians of the members, group chairmen and the head of the kendro from the kendro meeting.
  • Perform all the functions including the monthly opening and closing balance in the collection sheet of all the kendro/somitis as far as the staff is concerned.
  • Ensure that collections from the member are deposited at the branch office properly and timely manner.
  • To select the members according to the characteristics of loan program of the organization and to take measures to include them in the group structure.
  • To form the group regularly in the presence of all the members and to fill the member admission form as per the decision of the group and submit it to the branch manager for final recognition.
  • After the recognition of the group, all the savings collected from the members are deposited in the pass book and the member is given the pass book and the savings are deposited in the office and the relevant activities are completed.
  • Conduct regular kendro meetings on specific days and times of the week. Collecting installments and savings including loan and savings passbook and collection seat entry by maintaining discipline in the kendro meeting.
  • Return to the branch at the end of the kendro meeting and deposit the collected money in the office as per the rules of the organization.
  • Timely & effectively follow up & monitoring of loans to avoid overdue.
  • Accountability for all its functions to the Branch Manager.
  • To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the Authority as and when necessary.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor/Degree pass from any Government approved University/College/ institution.

Experience Requirements:

Able to show experience of working with National / International NGO and experience of working in the Chittagong Hill Tracts will get preference.

Additional Requirements:

  • Age limit for the applicant would be 30 years.
  • Excellent communications skills in Bangla.
  • Good knowledge in excel and Micro-finance software.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent networking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Willingness to travel to, and work in, remote areas.

  • Analyze and evaluate of loan proposals as per IDF’s lending guidelines, policies and regulations with expertise and essential documents with due diligence.
  • Following the specific rules in the branch area of organization, communicate with the local public and target group and evaluating credit worthiness of prospective clients
  • Provide training of the group members according to CDO and verifying the membership form
  • Ensure that collections from the member are deposited at the branch office properly and timely manner.
  • Presiding at the meetings of the colleagues in branch and reviewing the loan application received by the loan officers from the center and arrange for drafting loan proposals.
  • Recommended proposal sends to the area / zone / head office for approval.
  • To arrange the withdrawal of money from the servicing bank for the disbursement of loan and to re-deposit the money to the bank if applicable.
  • Ensure validation of entries, collection sheets, vouchers and ledgers along with approved loan proposal at the time of loan disbursement.
  • Take necessary steps to collect daily arrears.
  • Check the collection sheet information along with the vouchers prepared from the center while depositing money at the office.
  • Ensure weekly / monthly basis loan, savings and balance of various funds.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports of the branch within the stipulated time and send it to the head office within a specified period.
  • To take appropriate measures through the implementation, control and monitoring of the budget and plan of the branch.
  • Prospective client visits and risk assessment of prospective customers
  • Preparation and review of credit appraisal reports and approval of loan facilities
  • Timely & effectively follow up & monitoring of loans to avoid overdue.
  • To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the Authority as and when necessary.

Educational Requirements:

Master’s degree from any Government approved university/college/ institution.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 2 years working experience in the relevant field. Able to show experience of working with National / International NGO and experience of working in the Chittagong Hill Tracts will get preference.

Job Title: Livestock Officer

Job Context:

Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) is a non-profit, non-political development organization established in December 1992. Mission of IDF is to combat poverty in the impassable hilly regions and other un-served areas of Bangladesh by providing poor citizens with financial and opportunities such as capital, inputs, appropriate safety-nets and services to ensure their socio-economic upliftment. IDF invites application from the potential candidates for the following position under agriculture, fisheries and livestock unit at Chattogram.

Job Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Livestock Officer (Gayal Project) are as follows:

  • Develop proper set up of the Gayal (Livestock) Farm and management system;
  • Ensure regular technical support to Junior Technical Officer and Farm workers;
  • Identify the farmers for Gayal (livestock)rearing and production and provide necessary trainings;
  • Disseminate improved livestock management practices/technologies to the farmers;
  • Provide technical guidance to Gayal Farmers on small/medium livestock farm management;
  • Monitoring the IDF Gayal Farm routine activities and beneficiaries and ensure timely technical support;
  • Provide training to Field Facilitators/ target farmers, and project participants;
  • Prepare training manual, demonstrative materials development, training schedule, and training budget;
  • Organize exposure visit, workshop and seminar;
  • Develop enterprises of goat, dairy and beef fattening or other livestock venture;
  • Organize animal health & schedule vaccination campaign;
  • Coordination or liaison with Upazila level stakeholders particularly ULS, DAE, DoF Office and Union Porishad;
  • Prepare and submit timely report to respective supervisor;
  • Develop progress reports and case studies.

Educational Requirements:

Minimum BSC in Animal Husbandry or DVM from any recognized University. Masters from Dairy/Poultry science will get preference.

Experience Requirements:

At least 02 years diversified experience on related projects. Able to show experience of working with National /International NGO projects and experience of working in the Chittagong Hill Tracts will get preference.

Additional Requirements:

  • Age at most 35 years
  • Professional and clear written and oral communication skills both in English & Bangla.
  • Good command on MS-Office (MS word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
  • Excellent networking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Analytical and Report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Willingness to travel to, and work in, remote areas for extended periods of time
