The country’s first single-river research laboratory “Halda River Research Laboratory” has been established in the Biological Faculty of Chittagong University with the assistance of IDF and PKSF. The 24th Annual General Meeting of Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) was held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Conference room of IDF Head Office, Dhaka with Prof. Dr. Mahmudul Alam Chairman of the organization in the chair. The Governing Body members, General body members of IDF along with Executive Director Mr. Zahirul Alam were present in this meeting. After detail discussions, some important resolutions were adopted by the meeting unanimously.

Egg collection from the Halda River, the lone source of natural carp breeding has reached a 10 year high this year. Experts have attributed this achievement to awareness of locals and effective steps taken by the authorities concerned to save the river.
